Buckle down and get to work!

I don't know about you, but I tend to get easily distracted when I'm working on homework or doing research on the computer.

That is why I have come up with a new and revolutionary way to get tasks done! The Task Terminator Chair!

From this point on you know that when you "buckle down" it's time do work ... people will know you're not messing around. This device may be conveniently attached to any desk or office chair with some of the worlds finest and most used tool.... duck tape (or duct tape ... whatever)

It's so easy and simple to use!

First: Get an extra seat belt that you have lying around the house.
Next: Tape down one side of the seat belt to the left side of the chair. Same goes for the right side.
In no time you will have your very own Task Terminator Chair!

Get 'er done.

To wash or not to wash

I have come to the realization (for the 80 billionth time) that there are certain things that SHOULD NOT go in the washing machine. The following is a list of items that have conquered on been conquered by the wash cycle.

Sony earbuds:
These are my favorite headphones! I was shocked that I left them in my pocket, but to my surprise they worked perfectly after going into the washing machine. These are wash proof. ... I wonder if they would work under water?

Chapstick:
Chapstick is never a good thing to leave in your pockets as it goes through the wash. It leaves clumps of sticky nastiness in your pockets and all over every other article of clothing near it.

Canon lens cap
I was taking pictures at a film festival for Riverside City College and I put the lens cap in my back pocket (a place that I would remember) ... and I didn't.

Money:
Cash does just fine going through the wash. It's actually exhilarating (yes exhilarating) to find cash in the washer/dryer because it's extra money! Although in reality its just YOUR OWN recycled money, but it's still fun to pretend you actually found money.

Sony iPod dock station remote control:
This is what I miss the most. I actually have to get up to change the song on my iPod now :( and life goes on.

In conclusion to my declaration previously stated,........ check your pockets before you do a load of laundry.

So I started a blog..

Hey!

I decided to start a blog because I wanted to talk about random topics and share cool things that I read/find/experience etc.

So recently I went to the Associated Collegiate Press journalism conference in Hollywood and had a blast! There were tons of workshops with people associated with the Los Angeles Times, People Magazine, and other online media and publication groups. Director Robert Redford was also there one of the nights for a press conference with the students pertaining to his newest film "The Conspirator".

It wasn't all fun and games though. We had to attend a few less then interesting key note speeches. There was one in particular that was mind numbingly unexciting. It was at that moment my mind began to create some excitement of its own as it overflowed with random shapes of all sorts.

The shapes began pouring out onto the free spiral notepad we were given (which was meant for intellectual note-taking). Thus a masterpiece of randomness was born.

And for the record I did take actual notes... they're just not as interesting to look at.

The freebee intellectual note-taking pad of paper

Misc. stuff that was in my head during the keynote speech .... ya

All in all it was a great experience where I met journalism students from all over the US and learned how to network and work with people in the film and TV Industry along with tons of other info. I met some cool people from Utah and realized I was born to join a rodeo team and eventually compete professionally.
